Wolves in the Ballroom?

The Wolves -- the second installment of the Stage Reading Series -- was performed on January 17 in the Women’s Club ballroom to an audience of 63 people. The performance was beautifully directed by Heather Ballantyne, who brought out the best in the teens on stage. Heather also paired up with Lyn Vaux, Chair of the Drama Department, to create a turf field in the ballroom’s center. They made inventive use of the large platforms stored onstage for stadium seating, and also employed a small theatrical lighting rental package, which Lyn’s husband, Broadway Stage Manager Peter Hanson, helped hang.

The young actors in the production of The Wolves were (clockwise starting with the goalie, #00): Olivia Celestin, Eva Owgang, Isabel Cruz, Ayla Schwartz, Mareau Hall, Emma Celestin, Eryka Duckett, Riley Prior, Riley Polaner.

The performance was partially funded through a grant from the Glen Ridge Film Fund Grant.
