Our Mission

The Women’s Club of Glen Ridge brings together a diverse community of women in an inclusive and welcoming environment. Through friendship, volunteerism, education, and leadership, our members engage in civic, social, and cultural activities that enrich the Club and serve the greater Glen Ridge community.

A Legacy of Service Since 1905

Founded in 1905, the Women’s Club of Glen Ridge has been a vital part of the community for over a century.

We remain true to our mission by offering a range of programs from social gatherings and cultural events to educational lectures and community service initiatives.

Club departments host monthly meetings featuring engaging speakers on a variety of topics. Members also enjoy informal events such as cocktail parties, luncheons, yoga, book discussions, and day trips.

These activities not only foster connection and enrichment but also help fund our philanthropic work and support the ongoing preservation of our historic clubhouse.

Annual dues are collected by August 1. Memberships range from $40 to $5000, with options to fit every stage of life and level of support—including young adults, seniors, non-residents, and business sponsors. Choose the level that’s right for you when you join.

Our Historic Clubhouse

In the early days, members met in homes, churches, and schools. But as interest and membership grew, so did the dream of a dedicated space. That dream became a reality in 1925 when the Clubhouse was built—a gift from Henry S. Chapman in memory of his wife, Emily M. Chapman.

Located at the corner of Ridgewood Avenue and Snowden Place, this beautiful Georgian Colonial Revival building is more than just our home base—it’s a cherished landmark, lovingly maintained by generations of members and still central to everything we do today.

The Clubhouse is now available to rent for private and community events. Every rental supports our philanthropic mission and helps preserve this historic space for future generations to gather, grow, and give back.
