The Drama Department is thrilled to present a reading of WCGR Associate Member David Shaw’s latest play, Pickrick Drumstick. Set in 1964 Georgia, the civil rights movement was gaining strength and those who were living it knew it. While some southern whites were ready to accept it, most were not. The play asks: How far have we come and where are we now?
Please join us in the Mary Raymond Room on Wednesday, October 8th @ 7pm to hear this thought-provoking NEW WORK read by seasoned actors.
Doors open @ 6:30pm. Q & A with the playwright will follow. Refreshments will be served.
