A Homecoming Concert: New Works For Flute And Piano
Please join us as we continue to celebrate our centennial year with our first monthly department meeting. The Music Committee is looking forward to presenting professional musicians and educators, Maggie Hinchliffe and Michael Alampi, both former residents of Glen Ridge. Maggie and Michael will be premiering their upcoming 25-26 tour celebrating new compositions for flute and piano at the Women’s Club of Glen Ridge on October 5th at 1:00 pm.
Maggie & Michael’s work focuses on inspiring young musicians to pursue creative careers in classical music and to showcase lesser-known music and composers.
At this concert, through a grant from The Composers Guild of New Jersey, Alexa Canalas will be in attendance to premier her new composition. Other celebrated composers will also have their compositions performed including another Glen Ridge resident Amanda Harberg.
The concert will be about an hour long and we welcome the attendance of school age students.
At the concerts conclusion there will be a reception and the ability to meet the artists.
Members: $20
Non-Members: $25
Students: $10
**Please note that an additional credit card processing fee will be charged
