Author Luncheon with Emily Nemens

from $26.50

Join us for our Literature Department's Monthly Meeting: An Author Luncheon with Emily Nemens on Wednesday March 4th.

Emily Nemens is a writer, illustrator, editor, and educator. Her debut novel, The Cactus League, was published in 2020 to critical acclaim. Emily has edited at The Paris Review, The Southern Review, and Stranger’s Guide, and teaches in the MFA program at Bennington Writing Seminars.

Her new novel, Clutch, follows five undergraduate friends who find themselves decades later spread across the country, linked by the life-line of a group chat. As they converge on Palm Springs for a reunion, they unpack politics, fertility treatments, addiction, marriage, and aging and absent parents. It’s a big, beautiful novel about what friendship means as we get older. It has been listed as NYTimes Book Review's Books Editors Are Looking Forward to This Winter and Literary Hub's Most Anticipated Books of 2026. Read a glowing review of Clutch in the NY Times here.

There will be a catered lunch at 12pm, and the program will start at 1pm.  During the program, Emily will discuss her writing process for her two books and more.  Q&A and book signing will follow the program.  Watchung Booksellers will be there with both of her books for purchase. All book purchases at the event include a complimentary Clutch branded friendship bracelet.

$25 for members, $35 for non-members.

**Please note that an additional credit card processing fee will be charged
