About The Event

In these uncertain times, let's care for ourselves with a soothing and supportive meditation practice.  The Women's Club of Glen Ridge is pleased to announce the return of Mindful Meditation.  This 6-week Zoom series will be led by GR resident and Women's Club member Jodi Brooks.  Jodi has been teaching yoga and meditation for more than 15 years.  The course will be held on Sundays (November 8,15, 22; December 6,13, 20) at 9:45 a.m. The 6-session series is $120 for members and $150 for non-members.

Mindful Meditation is about a relaxed awareness of the present and whatever thoughts and ideas are currently important.  It is part of an overall way of being in which you cultivate a clear, calm, focused mind, and a healthy approach to life.  In this course, you will learn: 

  • basics of mindful meditation
  • how mindfulness can help in everyday communication and interactions
  • practices to cultivate self-acceptance and states of mind like gratitude, kindness, joy and compassion
  • techniques for meeting and dealing with intense emotions

No experience is necessary...just your willingness to learn!
