"Novelties" - A new book group for busy moms!
Originally formed to enable busy moms an opportunity to gather and engage in some non-child centric adult conversation.  We understand that sometimes you're too busy to even shower, much less read a novel, so we've spaced our meeting selections and titles accordingly.  Join us for a drink, a bite, and some adult conversation!

Meetings take place 8:00 pm - apx. 10:00/10:30 pm at the Women's Club.
Reading the Classics
This group is for those of us who have a long list of classics that we want to read, but will never get around to unless we do it together!  The titles for the entire year are set out at the beginning of the summer.  We try to arrange our selections so that the shorter works are in busier months and the long tomes are reserved for leisurely summer days or cold winter nights.  We've already conquered Don Quixote, Madame Bovary, Faust, and Crime and Punishment, to name only a few.  Take a look at this year's challenges- there must be something you want to read (or re-read)- and join us, 8pm in the Library.  All are welcome!

Following are the Classics Book Group selections for the new program year:

February 15 -  The Jungle by Upton Sinclair

March 21 - Peony by Pearl S. Buck

April 18 - Appointment in Samarra by John O’Hara

May 16 - Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

June 20 - We the Living by Ayn Rand

**All meetings begin at 8pm.

Literary Ladies
This group meets every other month, usually on the last Tuesday at 10am.  Feel free to attend if you see a title that interests you.  Literary Ladies reads a wide selection of contemporary fiction and non-fiction, generally works published within the last year or two and suggested by group members.  All are welcome.  Bring suggestions of what you might like to read and discuss.  We'll make our offerings and decide as a group which title will be next.  Titles for the upcoming sessions are noted here.  Our meetings usually last about an hour.
