The Community Service Department wishes everyone a very happy,
healthy and peaceful New Year!!

Thank you for all your help and support leading into the holidays!  With the community donations towards our Shoprite and/or Target gift card donation program, we were able to provide Thanksgiving meals to eight local families.  In December we also delivered presents and gift cards for Holiday to 10 local families.  Our Giving Tuesday donations raised much needed funds for 4CS of Passaic County and their winter coat drive for children ages 0-13.  We teamed up with the Girls’ Club to provide partial sponsorship and a car full of toys for Wynona’s House Holiday Magic Event for children who are victims of abuse.  CASA for Children of Essex County also received a generous donation towards their Ruby Red annual gala to support their advocacy programs for children.

We continue to support The Pajama Program which provides new pajamas and books for under privileged children throughout the year.  Debra Roselin is the Essex County Coordinator and if you are interested in learning more, please contact her at pdjroselin3@verizon.net.

We were also able to make a matching donation through Partners in Health to the Human Need for Food Pantry right here in Montclair.

We look forward to a productive year in 2018 where we continue to serve our community.  Our upcoming annual luncheon in February will be focusing on “Fighting Hunger One Person at a Time.”  For more information on NJ Food Bank, please contact Sharon Harms at sharonharms@comcast.net

We continue to work hard and hope to make this cold winter a little easier for local families here in our corner of the world.  Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you all at our annual luncheon on February 6th!
We are ever so grateful to the members of our Guardian List for their ongoing support of our various projects.
